Instructions:
1.Double-click on any element to read some details about that element. 2.Choose "Orbitals" in the upper pull-down menu to see the elements colored by s, p, d, and f block. 3.Choose "Metallicity" in the upper pull-down menu to see the elements colored by their metallic nature. 4.Click and drag your mouse across a couple of rows of the elements to select a range of elements. Choose "Properties" in the upper pull-down menu and then "Ionic Radius" in the lower pull-down menu, and you'll see a couple of things. First, the table becomes colored according to ionic radius (blue is smallest and red is largest). Second, you'll see ionic radius versus atomic number graphed in the graphing space below. Now you can clearly see the repetitive pattern of this property in the periodic table. That's why it's called periodic!
