There are many ways to prepare yourself for writing that will save you time and energy. Here are four key factors to help you in your efforts .

  • Writing is hardest at the beginning.
  • Warming up is critical for the writer.
  • You can warm up by freewriting.
  • Keeping a journal can help your writing.

One way of getting your ideas to flow freely is the technique of brainstorming.

  • Brainstorming is the technique of freely jotting down ideas about a topic.

Visualization techniques are extremely helpful in getting the mind to think, remember, and correlate.

  • Clustering is using a diagram to think about your topic.

How to best make something that will be interesting to the reader is incorporated in the topic sentence.

  • The topic sentence of a paragraph should make a discussible point.
