This electronic pen pal service invites you to fill in the on-line application to list your profile so that you can find a pen pal with similar interests for professional or personal contact. Free membership.

"Since 1996, ePALS has been dedicated to helping learners from around the world connect and interact with each other by email and other forms of electronic communication such as voice, video or chat. Our database contains 66,319 profiles submitted by teachers, parents and group leaders who are interested in establishing an ePALS email exchange project with other members."
Teachers can fill out an on-line form to post their class's profile or they can browse the requests to locate an appropriate class and initiate exchange. Although this site is geared towards the K-12 level, there is also a "Channel" for the higher ed level (for students, teachers or administrators).
- IECC: Intercultural E-mail Classroom Connections

"IECC is a free teaching.com service to help teachers link with partners in other cultures and countries for email classroom pen-pal and other project exchanges. Since its creation in 1992, IECC has distributed over 28,000 requests for e-mail partnerships."
This free mailing list service helps teachers and classes connect with people from other countries and cultures. Teachers can browse or search IECC archives or submit a request for class projects involving e-mail. IECC was originally created by three profs from St.Olaf College in Minnesota and was one of the first online services for e-mail exchange.
