You will notice that the Library of Congress says that it cannot determine the order in which the photographs were taken. Nonetheless, the one that has become an icon immediately jumps out at us. By clicking on the thumbnails, you can see larger versions of each image. Why is the "one" the photograph that has become an ingrained part of our view of the depression?
