- Quasi-Experimental Designs
Check out the Cornell Research Methods Knowledge Base pages on Quasi-experimental designs.
- Other Quasi-Experimental Methods
The OU Health Sciences Center has put together a research flowchart. This page links to discussions of several quasi-experimental methods not discussed in the text.
- Developmental research methods:
This page on developmental research methods covers several issues that are important when conducting research on changes in human behavior associated with development. Among the topics discussed are types of validity (E.g., internal and construct) and different methods (E.g., longitudinal and observational).
- Nature, Nurture, and Early Brain Development
Sara Gable and Melissa Hunting have written a good article on how we think about the influence of genes (nature) and environment (nurture) on brain development. They begin with differences between critical periods and sensitive periods, and then move to a discussion of how infants brains develop. While their focus is on applications rather than research, you will find their discussion interesting and informative.
- B.F. Skinner Foundation
The B.F. Skinner Foundation says that its goals are to publish work on the analysis of behavior and to educate people about behavioral science.
- Skinners work
This is a short work on the life and work of B.F. Skinner.
