Sabrina Rubin attended the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 1994. She is a senior staff writer at Philadelphia magazine and a contributing writer for Cosmopolitan. Her April 1996 article "Intimate Intimidation" was nominated for the National Magazine Award, in the Public Interest category. She received a Bronze (third place) award for Writer of the Year in the 1998-99 CRMA Editorial Contest Results (City and Regional Magazines). In July, 1999, she was married to Peter Erdely, a Philadelphia attorney, at her parents' home in Atlantic Beach, New York.
