Dr. Ian Dunbar, veterinarian and animal behaviorist, is the Director of the Center for Applied Animal Behavior in Berkeley, California. He was a founder of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, and he has hosted the popular British TV series Dogs With Dunbar. His numerous books and films include Dog Behavior: Why Dogs Do What They Do, Doctor Dunbar's Good Little Dog Book; Sirius Puppy Training (video), Dog Training For Children (video), and Dog Behavior: An Owner's Guide to a Happy Healthy Pet. His How to Teach a New Dog Old Tricks discusses the use of toys, lures and rewards, and treats as effective means for teaching puppies as well as older dogs. Many dog trainers consider this book the best ever written on dog training. Dunbar lives in Berkeley, California with his son Jamie, and several pets. Web Destinations
