Objectives

The explorers who first set foot on the soil of Africa, Oceania, and the Americas wrongly judged the people they encountered by their Western standards. Today we are able to recognize the cultural contributions that these varied cultures have provided. Chapter 19 allows us to cross the waters from Africa to Oceania and the Americas to see a clearer worldview of these cultures and their contributions to art.
