Sexual Health and You
Reflection on your own sexual health: Research findings suggest that homophobia hurts all of us (pages 337-341). For example, homosexual youth are more likely to experience school related problems, abuse substances and commit suicide; heterosexual youth are more likely to avoid doing some things for fear of being perceived by others as homosexual. What suggestions do you have for schools to teach acceptance and respect for all students (homosexual and heterosexual) and help students overcome prejudice?
