Susan Griffins works include Woman and Nature: The Roaring Inside Her, Pornography and Silence, and A Chorus of Stones. A Chorus of Stones was nominated for a National Book Critics Circle Award, was a finalist for a Pulitzer Prize, and won the Bay Area Book Critics Award. Unremembered Country, a collection of her poems, won the California Commonwealth Prize for poetry. She has been the recipient of a MacArthur Grant for Peace and International Cooperation, an NEA Fellowship, and an Emmy for her play "Voices". Griffin teaches writing and the creative process in Berkeley, California.
