The Second World War: Fascism Defeated
Summary

As the Axis powers built their militaries and prepared for war, Europe's democracies stood by, seemingly unable to control the course of events. In the first few years of World War II it seemed that things would continue to go in favor of the fascists nations. However, between 1942 and 1945 the Allied powers completed the total defeat of its enemies in Europe and Asia. The war in Asia ended with the use of two atomic bombs.
