The Faces of Fascism
Summary

In the 1920s and 1930s, fascist regimes took power in Italy, Germany, Spain, and Japan. Moreover, fascist parties emerged in every European state. Fascists promised a new society, one built around a charismatic leader who would lead his people to prosperity and power. Through nationalism, militarism, and corporatism, the nation would rise to previously unimaginable heights. If the price of glory was the rights and freedoms of the individual, so be it.
