- De Imperatoribus Romanis
"On the Roman Emperors" is an on-line encyclopedia on the rulers of the Roman empire from Augustus (27 BC-AD 14) to Constantine XI Palaeologus (1449-1453). The encyclopedia consists of an index of all the emperors who ruled during the empire's 1500 years. The site also has a number of biographical essays on the individual emperors, family trees ("stemmata") of important imperial dynasties, an index of significant battles in the empire's history, a number of capsule descriptions and maps of these battles, and maps of the empire at different times.
- Ancient Roman Technology
An ambitious web-site which concentrates on what sort of technology the Romans used to pave road, make pottery, and survive in general. The site is thin in some areas but it has a wealth of links broken down by industry that are related to the Romans use of technology.
- Slavery in the Roman Empire
For a detailed examination of slavery during the Roman Empire, see John Madden's article Slavery in the Roman Empire Numbers and Origins.
