Adverbs modify verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs. Like adjectives, adverbs can also be used in comparisons. Chapter 18 addresses avoiding errors with adverbs such as using an adjective when an adverb is needed, using double negatives, and errors with good/well and bad/badly.
