Internships

An internship can serve multiple purposes. You can explore and experience an occupation to better decide if that is the best career path for yourself. Some internships provide a salary, so it is also a way to earn money while you are in college. Employers often prefer to hire someone with experience, and an internship can provide concrete evidence of relevant experience to list on your resume. Finally, an internship can be a way to "get your foot in the door" and prove yourself with a particular company or organization.
