A must visit! The purpose of NASA's Earth Observatory is to provide a freely accessible publication on the Internet where the public can obtain new satellite imagery and scientific information about our home planet. The focus is on Earth's climate and environmental change.
EarthTrends (World Resources Institute)
EarthTrends environmental information portal offers timely and accurate global environmental and sustainable development information.
EarthWaves—Our Changing Planet
EarthWaves is a Web site dedicated to the subject of our planet, and the many changes encompassing it. You'll find topics here ranging from earthquakes to the ozone layer.
EPIC Database (NOAA)
Access to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) immense collection of data sets. EPIC was developed at NOAA's Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory to manage the large numbers of hydrographic and time series oceanographic in-situ data sets collected as part of NOAA climate study programs, such as EPOCS and TOGA in earlier years, and WOCE and CLIVAR and others more recently. At present, PMEL maintains more than 1.5 million individual data sets in the EPIC database.

A good, comprehensive source of information on coral reefs.

The CRC Reef Research Centre undertakes an integrated program of applied research, training and extension to enhance sustainable reef-based industries and economic activity, with particular emphasis on tourism, and provides an improved scientific basis for reef management and regulatory decision making.
