The map below displays selected statistics from the 1990 census on a state-by-state basis.  States in which the statistic is at or below a selected threshold are colored blue, while states above that threshold are colored red. Use the scrollbar to change the threshold.  This is an example of "brushing" a graph based upon a numeric variable.
