Sponsored by the National Tourism Board, this site showcases Nepal as a great place to visit. It also contains links to the Sustainable Tourism Network and the Kingdom of Nepal, which is facing violent opposition from Maoist rebels. Most tourists focus on climbing Mount Everest and enjoying Nepal's other physical and cultural attributes.

A classic tourist destination, the Maldives has a unique history. It also faces a unique threat--sea level rise due to global warming. While they're still here, view the picturesque islands and link to the underwater riches nearby.
- Friends of the Ganges
The Ganges River is one of India's most holy rivers and also one of its most polluted. Water-borne diseases and waste threaten not only the waters but the people who rely on it. This site links to groups who are working to save it.
