Linked to a PBS documentary video, the "Hidden Korea" site takes you on a cultural and culinary tour of Korea. Ch'usok, a major holiday to revere ancestors with food and prayer at the harvest moon, is explained with colorful photographs and traditional recipes.
- Friends of the Earth (Hong Kong)
This is the site for an environmental group in Hong Kong. The Environmental Fact Sheet Web Page is compiled and published by the Friends of the Earth, Hong Kong. This fact sheet has information about water pollution, air pollution, waste, and more.
- People's Republic of China
Written by an American historian of Chinese descent, this Web site provides detailed information on Chinese history and geography. Sections regarding the People's Republic of China are based on the U.S. Army Area Handbook. Quotes by Mao Zedong and other revolutionary Chinese leaders evoke the tone and feel of Chinese rhetoric since 1949. This site also provides a large detailed map of China as well as an elegant historical timeline in English and Chinese.
- Government of Japan Environment Agency
This is the official government of Japan Web page on environmental issues. It contains links and information about the state of Japan's environment as well as laws and regulations, policy, organization, etc. One can get a sense of Japan's philosophy with respect to the environment as well as programs in place to improve it.

To help understand how the People's Republic of China came to be what it is today, Britain's History Learning Site provides historical and geographical insight. One of the best links on the site discusses the use of evidence from primary, secondary, and pictorial sources.
- Japanese Pizza
For a visual guide to Japanese pizza (scroll down for the squid ink pizza, if you dare!), enjoy this colorful site created by an American who recently lived in Japan.
