This site is designed for those who are interested in doing business in South Africa. It was established by the Department of Trade and Industry: Centre for Small Business Promotion, in response to the need for easy access to information for the Small, Medium, Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) sector.
- South Africa Environment Project
This page provides information and links on southern Africa. It includes information on conditions, legal information, and links to the South Africa Development Community, an organization of 13 countries whose goal is improving economic development in the region. The site also has links to pages for each of the member countries.
- Elephants of Cameroon
African elephants (Loxodonta africana) joined the endangered species list in 1988. Concern for their survival arose after increasing ivory prices provoked unprecedented poaching during the 1970s. In little more than a decade, poachers killed more than half of Africa's elephants. This site is about a conservation program designed to help preserve this important species in Africa.
- World Bank: HIV/AIDS
The World Bank Group recognizes that AIDS is a major problem in Africa. This site provides epidemiological fact sheets by country (showing rates and direction of infection) and information on several programs to fight the spread of the diseases, such as ACTafrica, the Multi-Country HIV/AIDS Program (MAP), and the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS. It also links to key speeches and policy statements presented by world leaders regarding the HIV/AIDS crisis in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Developed by a middle school teacher, this site is a virtual geography classroom. Among the topics covered are ancient, colonial, and modern Africa, with links to external sites at all levels of research.

From online forums to live radio programs, learn about issues important to Africans from Sub-Saharan Africans themselves. This site also links to job listings, sports news, arts and culture sites, and hard news concerning Africa today.
