While you journey through Chemistry, Fourth Edition, the Molecule Gallery will provide you with the ability to view most of the molecules in the book in a dynamic, three-dimensional fashion. As you work through each chapter of the book, come to the Molecule Gallery to get a better idea of the 3-D structure of the molecules covered in the text. To view and manipulate each 3-D molecule listed below, you need to ensure that a "plug-in" application called Chime is on this computer. If you are not sure if the computer you are using has Chime already installed, you can run a Browser Tune-Up to test the machine. The Browser Tune-Up utility will tell you if you need to install Chime. When you download the program, select the version appropriate for your system. Follow the instructions on the Chime homepage to install Chime as a "plug-in" application for your Netscape or Explorer browser. You only need to do this once. From then on, anytime you want to view a molecule, your browser will know how to view it. The Molecules![]()
