Find 10 items that you own from 10 different countries (but not US, China, Canada, or Mexico-made) .
Make a list of items and countries.
- At least one item must be food,
- At least one more item must be a component within another, bigger thing (e.g., a component within your car, computer, or washing machine)
Color those 10 countries on the blank world map.
Try to find out as much info as you can about ONE of the items why does it come from where it comesany reason other than cheap labor?
Write up a brief report (<2 pages) and email it to your professor for grading.
As you work through the textbook, notice instances when any of these 10 countries is mentioned. Keep a portfolio of references to the one country that you studied more in depth. How much of this country's economic strength can be attributed to the abundance of its natural resources?
