Students studying world geography have a great variety of backgrounds and preparedness; some have traveled extensively and read world news on a regular basis. Others may have a great deal of knowledge about one or several countries, but know little about other regions of the world. Some have yet to explore the world at large.
This section is designed for students to quiz themselves on basic place identification, typically starting with easy questions and then moving toward more difficult ones. The module also provides general sources of information about countries that may be useful to students not only in this course, but in other studies as well. Finally, outline maps such as world countries and U.S. states are available for printing, practice, and study.
