Overview

Chapter 8 introduces the concept of differentiating instruction for all students, as well as how to use a variety of curricular and instructional accommodations and instructional technology and assistive devices for this purpose.

Objectives

Upon completion of this chapter, candidates should have the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to:
  1. describe how to differentiate instruction for students.
  2. employ a variety of strategies to differentiate instruction for students who have difficulty reading and gaining information from print materials.
  3. discuss a variety of strategies to differentiate instruction for students from diverse cultural and language backgrounds.
  4. discuss how to use instructional technology and assistive devices to differentiate instruction for students.
