Professional communities in educational technology — Explore the websites of four professional organizations in educational technology that represent the four perspectives in the field. As you look at each group's website, notice the publications and conferences sponsored by the groups, and answer the question below.

Research on uses of educational technology — Use the ISTE Center for Applied Research in Educational Technology (CARET) website at http://caret.iste.org/ to learn what research can teach us about effective uses of technology for learning. Use the Search feature to do a keyword search for research related to a specific subject area, such as science or writing. From the list of results, read three of the article reviews or answers. Summarize what you learned about using technology to teach that subject.

Give two examples of how the goals of this act might affect a classroom teacher in a public school in the U.S.
