- Explain the role of complementary and alternative therapies in promoting wellness, prevention, and holistic healing.
- Delineate the risks of using complementary and alternative therapies.
- Compare the basic principles and components of naturopathy, homeopathy, traditional Chinese medicine, and ayurvedic medicine.
- Describe the use of biofeedback, hypnosis, meditation, prayer, visualization, and guided imagery in promoting the well-being of childbearing families.
- Contrast the different body-based therapies, including chiropractic, craniosacral therapy, the Alexander technique, Feldenkreis, massage, reflexology, hatha yoga, and regular physical exercise.
