* Describe the signs and symptoms of acute abdominal pain. (p. 605)
* Discuss the appropriate emergency medical care for a patient with acute abdominal pain. (pp. 605–606, 607)
* Discuss possible causes of acute abdominal pain. (pp. 607, 609–611)
