Entry 7.2 – Students with IEPs

IRA/NCTE Standard #11 states: Students participate as knowledgeable, reflective, creative, and critical members of a variety of literacy communities.

Students who have been identified with special needs have an individualized educational program, or IEP. Classroom teachers often collaborate with special education teachers to create IEPs and work with them to plan instruction and to monitor student progress.
