For this portfolio entry we ask that you revisit your evolving philosophy of literacy learning. Early in this course, you wrote about what it is you believe and why. This time we want you to look at what you wrote at the beginning of the term and determine changes you would make in articulating your philosophy of literacy learning based on the knowledge you have gained after engaging with this text and your co-learners. At this point, you have grown in your knowledge of literacy teaching and learning and your answers may be different from your first ones. Please date and keep this entry in your portfolio after you make changes; it will be beneficial as you trace your new understandings and your development as a literacy teacher. You probably will perceive that you will hold fast to some of your beliefs, and change others over time; that is why we refer to our philosophies as evolving. This time, as you write your answers to the following questions and sentence starters, back up your stated beliefs with information you have learned from this course and new knowledge you have constructed or co-constructed with your peers.
