This site allows users of Becoming a Teacher of Reading: A Developmental Approach, by Susan Davis Lenski and Susan L. Nierstheimer, access to extra resources and materials. Here, users will find Chapter Outlines, Essential Learning Questions, and a Self Quiz for each chapter. Links to Standards are also provided. A Teaching Case allows users to respond to a real-life situation concerning teaching reading in the classroom. Each chapter has Multiple Choice quizzes. In addition, the You Try It, See For Yourself, and For Your Portfolio sections from the text are available for online use as well. An Online Journal feature allows users to respond to questions or issues raised in each chapter for their own personal discovery. Web Destinations provide avenues for further research and discovery on the Internet. A Message Board complete with selected activities in certain chapters facilitates student and teacher interaction and communication. Rounding out the site, for professors, Syllabus Manager allows easy instructional planning.
