Welcome to the Companion Website for Multicultural Education in a Pluralistic Society, Seventh Edition.

This website provides additional information for users of Multicultural Education in a Pluralistic Society, seventh edition, by Donna M. Gollnick and Philip C. Chinn. To further enrich their learning, users will find Chapter Opening Scenarios, multiple choice and true/false Self Assessment Questions, and Discussion Questions with which to test their knowledge of chapter content, as well as the Pause to Reflect, Attitude Inventories, Opportunities for Reflection, Focus Your Cultural Lens: Debate, and Questions for Discussion sections that give students short review questions to answer in essay format. Web Resources for each chapter offer links to many pertinent websites related to the material. Critical Incidents in Teaching help users apply themes they’ve learned from each chapter by asking questions in the context of a brief case study, and Integration Activities give users resources and activities to complete that help broaden the scope of their understanding.

In addition, users will find Responding to Hate Activities and resources that offer a better understanding of hate and violence in schools as well as the promotion of safe schools. Other Resources are provided as well. Explore Diversity—CD Activities, Portfolio Activities, ABC News Video Insights, and Links to the Classroom provide avenues for further development outside of the classroom. Also, users will find a Message Board feature that allows them to communicate with students and professors nationwide about pertinent topics and issues.

Finally, for professors, there are PowerPoint slides available from the Instructor’s Resource Center for this book. Click here to access the Instructor’s Resource Center. Also, the Syllabus Manager feature allows professors to create and modify an online syllabus for their courses.
