After completing Chapter 4, you will be able to:
- count forward and backward and illustrate regrouping and other place value concepts within the base-four and other base numeration systems
- perform additions and subtractions within the base-four and other base numeration systems
- describe how to help children develop place value concepts
- use correct terminology and procedures in working with large numbers and rounding to a given place value
- perform operations such as addition, subtraction, and the representation of numbers in the Egyptian and Roman numeration systems
