Educational Psychology Topics
http://www.mhhe.com/socscience/education/edpsych/edpsytop.html
This is a large site maintained by McGraw-Hill Companies. Six categories are examined: Perspectives on Teaching, Development of Students, Diversity in Schools and Classrooms, Learning Theories and Practices, Design and Management of Classroom Instruction, and Assessing Learning and Evaluation Instruction. All are excellent, but the Learning Theories and Practices is especially relevant for this chapter as it examines issues such as theory in practice, thinking and problem solving, and constructivism in the classroom.

To address nationally significant problems and issues in education, the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Educational Research and Improvement, through its five National Institutes, supports university-based national educational research and development centers. The centers address specific topics such as early childhood development and learning, student learning and achievement, cultural/linguistic diversity and second language learning, postsecondary improvement, adult learning, and education policy. In addition, each center has collaborating partners, and many work with elementary and secondary schools as well as postsecondary institutions. Centers may be contacted directly for a catalog of their publications and services.
