Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HAM-D)
The Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HAM-D) is an assessment instrument available in the public domain for health professionals interested in identifying the psychological symptoms associated with major depressive disorder: symptoms like feelings of guilt, suicidal thoughts, insomnia, inability to concentrate, fatigue, back pain, headaches, and other symptoms. In addition, symptoms less specific to depression are sometimes observed among clients with depression including muscle tension, GI disturbances, and reduced appetite.
