Welcome to the Companion Website for the In-Class Edition of Management of Human Resources, Second Canadian Edition, by Dessler, Cole, Sutherland, and Goodman. We are pleased to provide you with an online study guide to assist your study of human resources. This site, adapted for the second Canadian edition by Michael Bozzo of Mohawk College, gives you the opportunity to further explore topics presented in the book.
The In-Class Edition of Management of Human Resources, Second Canadian Edition, is based on two key premises: human resources are the most important asset in the majority of Canadian organizations today, and the effective management of the employment relationship is a responsibility shared by all members of an organization. This Companion Website will assist you in studying these ideas more closely and will provide added insight into the special features available in the book.
This site includes a "Test Yourself" review of each chapter, quizzes (true/false, multiple choice, and short essay), a running case, experiential exercises, a review of key terms in both a chapter-by-chapter listing and a study-friendly flashcard format, and easy access to websites recommended in the text book. Instructor notes for the running case and experiential exercises are available to instructors only in the Instructor's Manual.
Multiple Pathways to Learning Assessment Site
Pearson Canada's Multiple Pathways to Learning Assessment Site helps students discover their own personal learning style, including identification of strengths and weaknesses. After completing the survey, students can refer to the "Supplement and Teaching Techniques" chapter to learn which teaching strategies and supplements will be most effective for their learning style, ultimately enabling the development of productive and effective study practices.
Instructors can use this tool to generate an overall profile of any class they are teaching along with specific, individualized results for each student in a given course. Instructors will also be given valuable advice on the kinds of teaching strategies and teaching supplements that will be most effective for their students.
You will need an Access Code Card (ISBN: 0-13-230363-9) to enter the protected Multiple Pathways to Learning Assessment Site. Click on the link below to enter the Multiple Pathways to Learning Assessment Site:
